  • Born in Pennsylvania, 1910
  • High school coach and athletic director. 
  • 1933 graduate and star athlete of High Point College graduate
  • Coached briefly at Kernersville High School before moving to High Point High School 
  • Coached basketball, football, baseball, golf, and track at High Point High from 1936-1968.
  • Led basketball team to state titles in 1943, 1948, and 1950 
  • State runners-up in basketball in 1949 and in football in 1945 and 1951
  • Coached North Carolina to victory over South Carolina in 1949 Shrine Bowl football game
  • Helped establish N.C. State High School Coaches Association, serving as president in 1951
  • Served as athletic director of High Point City Schools from 1968–1976
  • Member N.C. High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame
