- During a near 40-year career, teams won 662 games, making him the state’s all-time leader in coaching wins
- Teams won 18 conference championships, two state titles, and four runner-up finishes
- Three of his players—Cedric Maxwell, Jerry Stackhouse, and Charles Shackleford—eventually competed in the NBA
