  • Born 1942, Tallahassee, FL, raised in Miami
  • Graduated from St. Augustine’s in 1965
  • Became track and cross-country coach at alma mater in 1975, coaching men’s and women’s teams
  • Teams won 19 NCAA Division II national titles: eight men’s outdoor, seven men’s indoor, two women’s indoor, and two women’s outdoor
  • Produced several Olympians and coached over 100 CIAA team champions
  • Served as assistant coach of the 1996 U.S. men’s Olympic track and field team
  • Head coach of the 1992 U.S. World Cup men’s track and field team and the 1999 U.S. men’s world track and field team
