  • Too small for regular play in interior line, gave up pro aspirations after one year
  • Member of the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame
  • Had small roles in several movies before becoming deputy commissioner of Florida Motor Vehicles Division
  • Died in 1974 at the age of 62
